La Belle Dame Sans Merci

Drawing from John Keats’ tragic ballad, this editorial captures the ethereal danger of the femme fatale figure through a medieval, painterly lens. Set in a desolate, dreamlike landscape, the imagery contrasts romantic beauty with haunting stillness. Delicate, hand-crafted details—floral crowns, symbolic props, and flowing, knightly garments—evoke the poem’s sense of enchantment and entrapment. Inspired by Pre-Raphaelite visual language, the work explores themes of obsession, illusion, and emotional ruin, presenting a tale of doomed desire as both intimate and mythic.
