The Lady Of Shalott

Rooted in Tennyson’s iconic poem, this editorial visualises the tragic isolation of the Lady through a lens of medieval symbolism and feminine mysticism. Set against a natural, liminal landscape, the imagery captures the moment between curse and freedom—stillness before surrender. Handcrafted props, flowing drapery, and symbolic objects reference both Arthurian legend and Pre-Raphaelite interpretations, creating a visual language of entrapment, longing, and doomed beauty. Each scene is rich with metaphor, echoing the tension between inner world and outside gaze, art and life, fate and defiance.
